Gli ACE Eddie Awards 2023 sono stati delineati, e ben presto saranno prevedibili i frontrunner nella categoria Miglior montaggio agli Oscar del prossimo 12 marzo. Infatti, la corporazione dei montatori è quasi sempre un preambolo di quel che sarà poi il film ad ottenere il riconoscimento conferito dall’Academy. Al momento tutto lascia pensare che sarà Top Gun: Maverick il favorito alla vittoria finale, ma occhio ad Everything Everywhere All at Once. Statistiche alla mano è da sottolineare come su 37 edizioni, in cui non c’era ancora una divisione tra film drammatici e commedie, ben 25 volte il vincitore degli Eddie Awards è stato confermato poi agli Oscar.
