E’ già tempo di candidature agli Oscar 2023, grazie alla pubblicazione della shortlist di ben 10 categorie da parte degli Academy Awards. Gli Oscar, prima di pubblicare le nomination ufficiali, hanno deciso di anticipare le shortlist di alcune categorie tecniche, includendo anche la tanto chiacchierata shortlist dei film internazionali; purtroppo per l’Italia, Nostalgia – film che era stato scelto per rappresentare il paese agli Oscar – non è stato incluso tra i migliori film stranieri agli Oscar 2023.
