I Bafta 2023 sono importanti premi cinematografici assegnati annualmente, e anche per questa edizione sono state già rivelate le longlists. Di seguito le previsioni sui possibili candidati ai Bafta del 2023, le cui nomination verranno annunciate il 19 gennaio.
Previsioni sui candidati ai Bafta 2023
I Bafta sono accomunati dagli Oscar per dei vincitori piuttosto simili, dato anche la giuria composta grosso modo dagli stessi membri votanti. Quest’anno i Bafta saranno in anticipo di parecchio rispetto agli Oscar, che invece si terranno il 12 marzo 2023; i premi inglesi saranno consegnati ai vincitori il 19 febbraio. Saranno come al solito incisivi anche in chiave Oscar, dunque da seguire per comprendere e prevedere anche gli eventuali e ipotetici vincitori premiati dall’Accademy. Ma prima di tutto, bisogna vedere quali saranno i nominati, e allora, ecco le previsioni sui possibili candidati ai Bafta 2023:

Le sorprese non sono mancate: primo su tutti James Cameron assente dalla regia così come Steven Spielberg, che a questo punto rischiano un ridimensionamento in favore dei Daniels per Everything Everywhere All at Once. Lascia abbastanza perplessi anche l’assenza di Avatar: La Via dell’Acqua, non solo dai premi principali, ma anche da quelli tecnici. Però, con tutta probabilità, dovrebbe essere la grande differenza con gli Oscar, che potrebbe anche premiare il film in qualcuna di queste categorie. Si fa largo l’eventualità che The Fabelmans resti a secco, senza alcun premio sia ai Bafta che agli Oscar, presenziando in qualche categoria. A questo punto è possibile sia davvero l’anno di EEAAO nelle maggiori categorie, mentre resta in equilibrio lo scontro al migliore attore tra Austin Butler e Colin Farrell. Tra i film stranieri, prende quota All Quiet on the Western Front invece di RRR, e chissà se anche agli Oscar possa confermarsi questa tendenza, a sorpresa.
